Summary
They’d fallen fast and hard – Charles knew that – and yet nothing about it felt rash. They’d survived each other’s lowest points, weathered fear and exhaustion and the pressure of thousands of lives in their hands. Compared to all of that, cohabitation had always felt easy.
But as autumn crept in again, the days shortened quickly. The flat, spacious as it was, had felt comfortably snug their first months together. Now it seemed to tighten around the edges as the light disappeared earlier each evening. And Monty was also simply…everywhere.

Summary
As newly appointed Co-Generals of the Resistance, Poe and Finn go on a diplomatic mission to Passio Verak, a planet that was until recently under First Order rule. However what appears at first to be a purely ceremonial visit soon takes a more sinister turn. In the midst of fighting for their lives, Poe struggles with leadership, the lasting effects of the war and the messy reality of his feelings for Finn.
(C-3PO hesitates and then, in a passable robotic simulation of a whisper, he says, “Not to question your judgement sirs, but perhaps it would be best not to give the impression that your marriage is in trouble? Palace gossip can be frightfully insidious.”
“Our what now?” Poe says dumbly, blinking. Behind him he hears Finn make a strangled sort of noise.
“Your marriage.” C-3PO says and then tuts. “Oh dear, you really didn’t read the manual on Verakian customs I provided, did you?”)
