Summary
Celebrimbor folds him open, bloodying his hands, and looks at him lying there like a pinned butterfly. Again, Mairon draws a deep breath and Celebrimbor watches in fascination as the lungs behind his ribcage flare.
“I am beginning to think that a surgeon without eyes would have served me better or at the very least faster,” Mairon says, voice just slightly unsteady.
“Oh, please,” Celebrimbor says. “I know you enjoy that it is me. I know you enjoy me looking at you, too.” It’s something he would have said to Annatar, when their sexual relationship was presupposed and mutual desire was more evident than anything else between them.
