Truthfully, there’s a part of Dante that does wish they could act like this whole morning never happened, and he could keep living in their admittedly miserable status quo. But that wouldn’t be fair to Randal. And for all that Randal’s put up with his shit over the years, doesn’t Dante owe it to him to put his own feelings aside this one time?

Summary
Because Archie just couldn’t stop thinking about Reggie, no matter how hard he tried. It only got worse the more time they spent together, until he found himself daydreaming about taking Reggie out to Pops, and sitting in the booth next to him where it’d be so easy to hold his hand underneath the table. Maybe Archie would pretend to yawn so he could wrap his arm around Reggie’s shoulders like he’d seen guys do in movies, and Reggie would laugh and lean into the touch. And then Archie would remember that he’s not at Pops with Reggie, he’s in English class, and he’s not supposed to be having thoughts like that in the first place.
He knows words now that he didn’t in 1955, labels and terms that should help him make sense of everything, of who or what he is, but he’s still so confused.

Or maybe she’d be at some sort of end of the world get together with Archie or Betty on her arm. In another scenario she imagines herself comfortably watching their happiness from afar, knowing that she’s surrounded by people who love her. Those universes might exist out there somewhere, but Tabitha would know, not her. The Veronica in this universe is still alone either way.

Summary
1920, in the wake of the Great War and at the gates of national prosperity.
Poor Jughead Jones has done rather well for the luckless son of an indigent sailor. He is engaged to lovely Cheryl Blossom, wealthiest young lady in the dreary Massachusetts fishing village of Riverdale. They are no perfect match, and sometimes he still feels a pitiful love for his old friend, green-eyed Elizabeth Cooper. But fortune has been kinder to him than he could have ever hoped.
Such hopeful stability is upended with the arrival of the déclassé Veronica Lodge from New York. More so when the corpse of Cheryl's twin brother Jason, thought drowned some months back, washes up on the beach with a bullet in his skull.
Join to this cavalcade of horrors the dark, abyssal creatures Veronica sights in the surf just off of Hangman's Reef. Betty Cooper's peculiar and ever more reclusive father Harold. Jughead's strange dreams of an alien city sunken beneath the waves.
One might suspect the assault of nightmare on the waking world. Or something much worse.
