In any case, this is less of a complaint on Miwa’s part and more of an observation. And Miwa says this with all the care and respect she has for her boss, but Megumi really could stand to emote just a bit more.
She's not even asking for something as uncouth as a smile. That’d be like asking for spaceflight before the invention of the wheel, and Miwa's not stupid. She's not greedy, either. There are limits.
But…if Megumi could just have an emotion, once in a while? Any one at all? Just as a little treat?
Miwa would like that very much indeed.

Blackbeard glances over to Stede, grinning wickedly. “That we were.”
“You mean - Stede?” Ed asks. His voice is suddenly soft, eyes disbelieving.
“Well, I hardly think that’s relevant now, given the circumstances.” Stede fidgets with the hem of his sleeve, not daring to look at either version of the man in his cabin.
“Oh, I dunno.” Blackbeard smirks, his eyes predatory. “Come on, Stede, only thing better than one Blackbeard is two, don't ya think?” He winks, practically growling now, voice laden with unspoken promises.
Stede coughs faintly, slightly embarrassed at just how much this is getting him going. The ideas, the fantasies this is bringing up right now are downright obscene! Now is hardly the time for such - ahem - activities, not with the bizarre dilemma before them.

Gently, Ed repeats, "Are you God, Stede?"
Stede's voice is thin and high when he answers, "I'm not God."
"And is God here, in this room?"
Comically, Stede looks around like he might find God perched on the edge of his desk, or pulling books from his shelves to examine the spines.
"He's not," Stede concedes.
"That's right, mate. Stupid bugger doesn't associate himself with pirates."
Or: The Revenge has been becalmed for six days. Ed has bigger things to worry about, like sharks and being in love.
