I know from experience, it won’t. If you want to heal, darling, truly heal, you need to confess. Tell me what happened, confess to me and free yourself of the fear and pain. Summary
This was a good thing.
Sam was the best thing in her life, the one blessing to come from her marriage to a monster. Sam had the strangest ability to worm her way into the coldest hearts, but Rook couldn’t help the nervousness that ate away at her stomach as her daughter slipped from the car and practically ran towards the church, a hurried ‘bye mom’ thrown happily over her shoulder.
Rook watched until her daughter was safe inside the church, giving a polite smile as she caught the curious gaze of the man she assumed to be Joseph Seed, the Father of the congregation, as he ushered small children inside to begin his service.

Steve takes a step closer and squats down, hand reaching out. “Can I touch your tail?" Eddie glares at him, watching as he pulls his hand back at the last moment and shakes his head, eyes never leaving his thick tail. "Wait no! Sorry! That was rude of me wasn't it?" Steve's skin turns an appealing shade of pink as he pulls his hand back.
Eddie pushes forward, catching that hand, careful to keep his claws in. Steve’s eyes widen, mouth dropping open in a gasp, the pulse under Eddie’s fingertips pumping faster. Eddie pulls him closer, Steve’s hand leaving the wheel as he drops to his knees, eyes still wide as his hand brushes over smooth damp scales. Eddie directs his movements, starting at his hip and pushing his hand down his flank, the pulse under his thumb relaxing a fraction. Steve goes from nervous to excited.

Summary
Grief had twisted Sindri into something bitter, something that carried a hollow in his heart that Kratos was at once deeply familiar with and never wished another to suffer. It was an ash in Kratos’ mouth, a pain like blades in his chest and the horror of what he had wrought upon his world in his rage, to see one who had once been a friend and one he wished to be a friend still to begin walking a path so similar to that which Kratos had once walked.
But neither could he leave the dwarf. Kratos knew his pain, and he would spare Sindri the worst of what it could do.
Kratos knows grief, better than anyone. Sindri may not heed his wisdom, in the end, but Kratos gives it anyway.
