    Summary

"There is no part of me that she touched, yet she sees every piece of me perfectly. It's who you are, not what Camilla looks like. The shape of your soul is different."

He scoffed, without a trace of malice. "A hard science, I'm sure."

"You Sixth and your goddamn measurable phenomena. Come here." She gestured for him to stand, growing impatient of the space between them.

He did as he was told, tucking the bones back into the false bottom of the canister with care, and regarded her with a great amount of interest. While Camilla only watched for Pyrrha's movements, trained to seek instruction like any good cav, Palamedes unabashedly stared every chance he got. It was clear that the very nature of her excited him. Everything about her was studied like she were a necromantic theorem herself.

The boy wanted her, and he did nothing to hide it. Pyrrha always did like giving the people what they wanted.

    ———

Pyrrha and Palamedes talk bodies, gender, and dysphoria— both hers and his.

    Summary

She banishes the Wizard and imprisons Madame Morrible. She disbands the Gale Force and places Fiyero's murderers on trial at the Hall of Justice. She has her staff gather all of the Wicked Witch propaganda within the palace and orders it to be incinerated. She issues a proclamation denouncing discrimination against the Animals, and rallies the League of Governors to repeal anti-Animal legislation across Oz.

However. There is one thing she hasn't quite figured out.

"Glinda?" Pfannee steps into her office. "Dorothy's asking for you again."

Glinda's forehead hits her desk with a resolute thud. "Oz help me," she groans. "Tell her to go away."

Or: After the Melting, Glinda puts herself back together through sheer force of will. There's work to be done, and she is the one person who can do it all.

    Summary

Kaz was out of town when the Komedie Brute decided to have audacity in spades.
Later, Wylan thought this was probably best. Giving the actors a grace period of about a week without having to worry about the presence of Kaz was probably a good thing.
    The real Kaz, that was.

    Summary

“And have you made this entire call without once vexing or offending poor Miss Ghafa?”
Captain Rietveld looked coolly at him. Inej bent her head over her sewing to hide her smiling, since she was not sure she would not laugh outright. She had not thought that Wylan would deliberately provoke the Captain, but perhaps his deference to his father did not reach anyone else.
“I am sure that is not for me to decide,” said the Captain, “But I own I have been perfectly well behaved.”
    “Does he lie, Miss Ghafa?”
“No— he has been quite tolerable company,” said Inej. “If not quite a perfect gentleman.”
    “You wound me, Miss Ghafa.”
“I suspect I do not, Captain.”
