It's the summer after California. Will and Jonathan Byers are now staying with the Wheeler's, while El and Joyce are at Hopper's cabin.
Will--as soon as the first night back in Hawkins--is having nightmares. He goes to Mike for comfort, and obviously, he recieves it. From every night on, he goes to Mike for comfort. What will happen when Mike recognizes his feelings? Will he stay with El? What will happen when they realize Vecna is back?Most importantly, what will Mike say to Will when he starts showing up in his dreams?
Or : The 18 months between S4 and S5. Everything is tagged accordingly, and there is more to be added. Chapter amount is an estimate, and will be updated as we go.

Summary
The bathroom is a sickly weak yellow shade. The fluorescence in it beat down on Mike when he drags his nauseous face up. Tap water spills down his chin and drips onto his shirt. He runs his hands over his lips to wipe away anymore stray water. A sharp sensation on his pinky makes him lift his hand away. He grimaces when blood pearls on his pinky.
What was so sharp to pierce it?
It definitely couldn't be his—
Mike looks at himself in the mirror, squinting and pinching his brows together. Some blood managed to get on his lip.

Max went through Will's portal. Will went through Max's portal. They swapped bodies.
Now Will has to pretend to be Max Mayfield, which would be easier if Max wasn't mean to literally everyone. Max has to pretend to be Will Byers, which would be easier if Mike Wheeler didn't have a completely different voice and face and entire personality when he talks to Will. Also, they can hear each other’s thoughts now, which is uncomfortable (to say the least.)
