Neither would give an inch, Sam lowering his head and squinting while Al puffed his chest and tilted his chin up. Sam was stubborn, but Al was persistent. Sam, patient, Al, annoying.
The scientist blinked.

Trying to confront these feelings leads them both down a complicated path, and hopefully, towards a growing intimacy.

Summary
Leap after leap had been nothing but surprises. Sam Beckett had experienced all walks of life, seen more than most men do in a single life time. But the appearance of the grey men had shaken him to his core, their red eyes piercing and distinctly alien. A group of them followed him through each leap, each time more antagonistic than the last. Al was nowhere to be seen.
"Bridge to Captain Archer."
It had to have been a movie set. It LOOKED like a movie set, after all. But there were no cameras and the stars beyond his window looked too real to have been props.
Leaping had a funny way of completely screwing Sam Beckett.
