A picturesque afternoon, the bright blue sky, the canvas on which the gods painted the everyday mundane miracles. Miracles that often went unnoticed by the human mortals. Busy as they were with this and that. Always rushing from one place to another, not even sparing a moment to admire the beauty created just for them. Humans were such silly creatures. Such short lived lives that they spent holed up within grey walls so they could move on to another constricting grey prison. They had such little time and yet they spent it making themselves miserable. They ignored the indomitable beauty and symphony of life, for dull, fleeting pursuits.

How apt of a line to his own predicament. Strange things and stranger existences. The slow curl of heat in his loins as he breathed in the scent of milk mixed with blood and camellias. Confessions he feared to speak when he knelt on the pews of the church. When he saw the shadow of the Father behind the mosaic hollows of the wooden panels, willing to listen and willing to forgive his sins if only he should speak.
