    The blue outside is getting darker and darker, slowly. Pressure and depth values keep rising with it, on the navigation panel.
    Holding a breath through the electricity running in his body, eyes peeled on the growing obscurity Tyler waits, waits.
    A slight, perhaps a trick of his mind, lilac shade.

    Then, one moment it's blue.

    And the other a blaze of lavender, reddish, violet, glimmering dots that seem to be about to touch the glass- but disappear before crashing against it.
    The hues fused together, like the sky between sunset and night, but perennial.
    In constant soft movement, the liquid gloom.
    Tyler can feel his eyes widen at the spectacle, his mouth open in awe.

    Now, he's not friends with Tyler. Tyler is one of the most annoying people he's ever met, and the most attention-hungry.

    It's just that ever since Josh dropped out and moved back in with his parents for the foreseeable future, he's become intimately aware of the fact that Tyler is easy. Not 'easy' as in 'enjoyable to be around', hell no. He's easy to compare himself to. Tyler doesn't overachieve- barely seems to achieve at all, really. And he doesn't want to try new things, or go out and party, or discuss the future, and most importantly, he doesn't want to talk about Josh at all.
