Summary
To become part of Bonten, you had to pass the first inspection by the King himself. Then, you follow their rules and serve the yakuza well. Breaking the rules of society meant jail time in Japan, but breaking Bonten’s two sacred rules meant immediate execution. One, don’t piss off the King. Two, arguably the most important of all, don’t piss off his wife.
