Rei can’t acknowledge it, not for longer than the sliver of a second. He’s a weak man on his best day, and that’s certainly not now, with Ritsu touching him, lying prone beneath him, offering what he wants so willingly. There are too many risks, too many other forces at work to indulge in their private vices here, he tells himself. He’s doing what’s best for both of them.
Ritsu can tell what he’s thinking. He knows him too well, every sensitive spot on his body committed to spiteful memory, and Ritsu’s never hesitated to aim his blows low.

“Oh, hey, you’re from our school too, aren’t you?” The obnoxiously sunny boy quips. “Natsume, you didn’t mention you were with someone.”
“That’s the first thing I said to you, Baru-kun.” Natsume answers flatly. He’d gone stiff when Ritsu crept up on him, a prey animal frozen in place, but most of that tension’s already faded away, almost like he’s gotten used to Ritsu’s habitual touchiness. Ritsu’s not sure how to feel about that, or being described as someone Natsume’s with— judging by the not-quite stranger’s raised brow, he’s obviously jumping to a certain conclusion.
That’s fine though, isn’t it? part of Ritsu thinks. As long as it gets him to back off.
