The expression of terrible glee on Sarah’s face said she hadn’t found a horrifyingly large spider or anything, but what she pulled out of the box was honestly kind of worse.
“I cannot believe that until this moment, I forgot your favorite toy for a while there was a Bucky Bear!”
Bucky could never find out that Sam's favorite childhood toy had been a Bucky Bear, and he definitely couldn't ever find out about Sam's childhood crush on the cartoon version of Bucky. Unfortunately, getting dosed with a magic potion might just make Sam spill the beans, because it turned out that the real Bucky was maybe even more cuddly than his teddy bear counterpart.

WAAAAAAH. oh my god im so not normal about this oh my god. its 4am and ive become attached to stuart and this au sambucky. i love them they are my best friends (real)
in all seriousness, i could read this over and over. the way you put that little cliffhanger in the beginning? man i was hooked IMMEDIATELY. i looooove how sam just had to find a reason to talk to bucky again and ended up not even giving him his hair tie back. their progreasion was so natural it had me twirling my hair and kicking my feet :(((( i love it thank you. my expectations were exceded every chapter.
“Sam cradles his head in the crook of his elbow, curled over his body like it’ll be enough to warm him and heal him and make him okay.” genuine tears were had.
“Sam finds himself wanting to be closer to him, or to help him warm up, or decrease his pain somehow, and it jars him, how overwhelming it is to care so much.” wow. that whole scene had me on my toes and just. wow. i adore this. sam telling him he loves him so causally:((( bucky getting frustrated and pushing sam away was so Real and i love how they healed that. the spoon? silly i love sam where can i find him. THIS IS MORE THAN ENOUGH??? :(((((
just all around a good, lovely read. will be rereading and thinking of stuart (my favorite character) (also i knew nat was gonna get a cat in the end no one can escape their charm)
