“I’m doing this because I want my friend back.” Chip replied, without hesitation. “I want Gill back.”
“No, no.” Niklaus shook his head. “Your desire is true. But your heart is conflicted, no? Do tell me, is getting him back out of necessity or out of love?”
All Chip could do was look at him in bewilderment.
A what if situation where Jay caught Chip with the Compass of Desire in his possession. Apparently, Chip had plans to use the compass while Gillion’s crescent moon required the opposite.
