The call ended and Katsuki ran a hand through his hair, “Someone needs to go over there. He’s having a panic attack. Someone needs to help him.”

Summary
Katsuki Bakugou had a particular talent for identifying anyone he perceived as competition, and for reasons Izuku had never fully understood, Katsuki had decided within their first month of freshman year that Izuku qualified. They'd met at some dorm mixer, been introduced through mutual friends, and within ten minutes had been locked in an argument about something Izuku couldn't even remember now. What he did remember was the way Katsuki's eyes had narrowed, assessing and dismissive all at once, and the way he'd said,
"You're one of those people who thinks reading books makes you smart."
Izuku had responded, "You're one of those people who thinks being loud makes you right."
It had gone downhill from there.
Or, Izuku Midoriya gets stuck in a psychology project with his apparent sworn-enemy Katsuki Bakugou. Turns out his Psychology Major really doesn't help when applied in real life.

Kirishima smirks. Irrefutable evidence. “Dude, has it ever occurred to you that maybe, Midoriya’s compliments are actually genuine? Like he’s not just saying that shit. He sounds like he really means it,” he suggests, trying to keep his voice even and casual.
Bakugou doesn’t move, but his red eyes uncharacteristically widen, just the slightest bit.
