Summary
Mike plans the post-grad road trip in secret—maps, routes, marking places he thinks El will like. But once they leave, none of it really matters.
They don’t rush, because for once, they don’t need to. For the first time in her life, El gets to stop, breathe, and see everything she’s been missing.
And Mike? He’d drive forever just to see her smile.

Summary
When Tweek moves from New York City to a hick mountain town in the middle of nowhere, he figures he'll be spending his senior year alone. He's quick to learn the people in this town are different— and they're not all bad.
Craig doesn't like much of anything. He's spent his whole life disliking the same town, the same routine, and the same people. He's just not a happy person. It's not like a weird new kid from the East Coast can change that, even if he's unlike anyone Craig has ever known.

Summary
Mike Wheeler hasn’t cried since the Gate closed.
Hours after Hawkins finally goes quiet, back in a wrecked house stained with dried blood, Mike clings to anything he can keep, a sweater she wore, the clothes he can’t bear to wash, the fading imprint of El’s touch.
And when the night finally makes room for the truth, Nancy is there to hold the moment steady, letting him break without trying to fix him.
Post-series finale, pre-epilogue.

Summary
“Coop?” Harry murmured as his hand fell from Dale’s jaw, other hand training the flashlight on his sharp features.
The light reflected a blankness in Dale’s eyes. A resignation. “Harry, I have to go alone.”
His fingers twitched. Harry found the answer to his question; this was his goodbye. “Why… what?”

Summary
“You look like a..” El bites her lip, pushing him off softly. “A puppy.”
“A puppy?” Mike says, aghast. “Me? Huh.”
“Yes.” She smiles. “A very cute, very handsome puppy.”
To be honest, Mike’s heart almost explodes, and he struggles to keep blood from rushing to his face. He doesn’t really know how to react to that, considering no one has ever called him handsome before (or maybe just his mother).
