Oftentimes, you, Bulkhead, and Bumblebee would go for a drive and reminisce about Cybertron. Finding a lot of things in common. Sometimes you even stayed at base to get to know the kids, to try and understand their species and cultures. And to maybe beat your slight fear of the tiny ants.

The tall masked man that you grew to know over time, head to toe in thick black tactical gear, fully covered mask except for the eye slit, had his arms crossed. Seeming like he was ready to leave.
With how long you’d been on the same team together, he was still a mystery.
Still, every time you looked his way, questions swirled in your mind. What made him enlist? Why the mask? Why the separation from everyone?
Even leading to taking a small peek at his file. It was all redacted anyway, so it didn’t matter.
Not to mention the way your brain numbed with the question of how his piercing eyes could pin you down onto one spot so easily. Which was happening right now. -

You scanned the mask he donned on his face. It was firm up on the top half, holes sunken in to let him see through while the bottom was more of a mesh fabric, stuck to his skin like a balaclava but covering everything thickly enough.
Not to mention the eye black that was smeared on his skin beneath the mask.
It was a unique choice for sure. But, you remembered many preferred to conceal their identity.
Gaze flitting back to the men before you, you go over your prior missions and explain what your higher ups told you. Walking to a table to set your things down.
And also burying the look the hulking mass across the room gave you in the back of your mind for later. -
