Summary
Set between and during Books II and III of "To Have a Spark", we now begin "To Have a Spark: Behind the Lines". Things get a little more real, but as with its predecessor, no life-or-death adventures. Here, teenagers fuck up, Bots learn what it's like on the other side of being protected and maybe a certain Prime might get a break for once in his life.
Antics of all sorts ensue. Including the occasional bar fight (without booze because they're minors!)

Summary
After the events of Transformers: Prime, Starscream is beaten to near-death by Predaking, leaving him completely blind. When a ground bridge suddenly opens in front of him, Starscream takes the chance at rescue and crawls through, only to find himself on the Nemesis with the remaining Autobots. Supplies are limited, and Starscream is forced to live without optics until a suitable replacement set is discovered or built from scratch. Alone, blind, without a leader to serve (or overthrow), or even a war to fight anymore, Starscream is left completely powerless for the first time, having no choice but to submit to the Autobots or take his chances on the ruins of Cybertron. Optimus Prime is dead, but the Autobots honor his spark by giving the seeker one final chance to change his ways, as they know he would have. Starscream, stripped of all of his power, is forced to face what is left, finding nothing but a husk of the mech he was before the war. Is it truly possible to change after losing so much? Or is he doomed to repeat his past mistakes?

You're not expecting anything good to come of being called into the office by your boss's boss; y'know, the cold and aloof Cybertronian who runs your entire department? Contrary to expectations, however, the meeting with Prowl leaves you feeling a lot more optimistic for the future. Sure, he might have the tact of a sledge hammer to glass, but none of that matters overmuch when he's actually being really helpful. Probably the best boss you've ever had, really, when you get right down to it.Pushing you to excel, demanding nothing more than what you can give and expecting no shortage tendered.

Now, if only you didn't have to go and fall in love with the bastard, maybe your simple office life could have kept on being simple. Unfortunately for your poor little squishy heart, Prowl doesn't just want you to stay in his department as a productive employee.

Summary
Trying to fix a broken world is harder than anyone would think. Optimus is doing it because who else can, he’s Prime after all and it’s his duty to protect and make sure that now after the war everyone can heal, including himself.
But what no one realizes is that the matrix has other plans that involve him no longer baring that title. He is not who is needed for what is to come, someone new has to take the mantle. Someone who almost no one expects to be chosen, someone who doesn’t believe himself to ever be deserving of it.
A certain firebot is forced to become the face of that everyone watches and the voice that they now have to ask of what’s next. He really just wants to go back to his regular life, he doesn’t see himself as a prime.
But soon he’ll realize that he is the one who’s needed for the future of humans and bots.

Thunder cracked. But not from the sky.
The whole damn forest lit up in white. Blinding. Hot. Like staring into the heart of a welder’s torch. The trees seemed to melt in the flash. Clay’s body jerked—his muscles seized—and his last thought before the world yanked itself sideways was “That weren’t no lightning…”
Another pulse of agony as his very identity was branded into the new machine that was replacing him. No, not replacing—rewriting. He couldn’t breathe. Couldn’t scream. So he fought.
He kicked at the blackness, punched the airless void, tried to crawl away from the pressure crushing him flat—tried to punch God, or whatever machine-devil was pulling the strings. He didn’t care. He was Clay McGraw, and he wasn’t gonna go out like this. Not silent. Not broken. Another convulsion hit. His mind cracked in half, and then impact.
