A continuation after Saccharine, told in Vox’s perspective: Vox wants Valentino’s forgiveness more than anything, and doesn’t want to waste any opportunity to earn it. Not when everything that matters is finally his. And Val is just that – everything. But it all feels so fragile. Val’s forgiveness, the Vees, Val himself – everything feels like it’s made from paper. If he holds on too tight, it will crumble up in his hands. If he loosens his grip, he risks it all being ripped away. And that ends up becoming all too true when someone from the past returns, seeking to take everything away from Vox.

Summary
After Hell was saved from Vox’s fucked-up plan, Angel ended up stuck living with Valentino and the rest of the Vees. They snarl and growl in static glitches and insectoid chirps, pushing and pulling at each other with too-sharp claws. Val's teeth grow in his mouth, snapping loud in front of Vox's screen when the hypnotic stare tries too obviously to catch his eye.
"You want to bite me? Here-" Vox's throat is suddenly right in his face, synthetic skin pressing against sharp dripping fangs. The hold feels suspiciously like a hug, cradling the back of Valentino's head as he tucks him into the crook of his neck, offering to let him bite and rip. "-bite. I don't give a fuck if we're fighting. Scream. Cuss me out. Hit me. Level this goddamn tower to a parking lot, Valentino I. Don't. Care. “That was a rhetorical question; I already know. You have fluid in your lungs, and like three other diseases in your system, which are figuratively and literally eating you from the inside out. You’ll be lucky if you even last the next few hours, let alone to the morning.”

“But I can help,” the man leans in, his showman’s grin widening, “I can get rid of that pesky disease for you, it’ll be like you never even had it. For ten whole years as well, that’s practically a lifetime!”

Or: Valentino reflects on his past, unwanted exclusivity in his sex life, all mixed in with moments of pre-canon Vox and Val as roommates with some UST and tenderness between them. Val-centric. Long one-shot.

Ah, so Val’s in the studio. Vox should have known. Bringing up Val’s schedule, today is mostly blocked-out for shooting. It’s (Vox squints) Step Brother Gets Stuck Again, This Time at the Bottom of a Tube Slide. Christ. More Angel Dust brainrot then, but Vox can’t deny that it sells. He wouldn’t admit it out loud, lest Val’s massive ego grow even bigger, but Val IS kind of a genius in his own lane.
Okay, it’s definitely warmer than usual. What’s going on? Is the thermostat on the blink? Vox’s fans whir. Shifting in his seat, his spine zings as a strange feeling trickles suspiciously southwards, coalescing between his legs. His heart rate picks up.
That has his attention.

Vox surrendered his detachable private parts to Valentino. Surprising no one, this was a grave error.

Vox gets carried away a lot. And every time, he returns to normal when reality finally hits him in the face. But this isn't the usual (typically Alastor-related) breakdown. This is an insane, suicidal ‘I-don’t-care-what-happens,' 'I’m-a-god-and-this-is-my-destiny’ breakdown. So when Vox acts like it never happened, Velvette and Valentino realize he may need more help than he's letting on.
Luckily for all of them, there’s a Hotel for this sort of thing.
