Outside, the sun was timidly beginning its descent, bathing the streets in a vibrant orange glow. The cobblestones and asphalt were still warm, lingering memories of a day when the heat had been oppressive.Jiseok was happy. During the ten-minute walk separating him from Jooyeon’s house—his best friend—he first felt the wind slip inside his short-sleeved gray shirt.
One last party before the summer ends, before September kicks in. A time of great changes for the high school graduates, that might end up being for the best.
