Summary
“What are you supposed to be?” she asked bluntly, and he glanced down at his costume, scratching the back of his head awkwardly as he puffed out an anxious chuckle.
“Erm… Beetlejuice.” He said, and Norma frowned. “Regina picked it out. She said people would know who I am but I guess I’m going to have to fire her as my costume chooser,” he joked.
“Beetle what now?” she asked. “Like a bug? You don’t look like a bug. Maybe she does need to be fired.”
He snorted. “What? No. Beetlejuice. Like the movie.”
“Never seen it.”
“No way. It’s like a Halloween classic! Come on Norma.”
Norma gets stood up at the Halloween festival, but Alex is determined to make sure she still has a good time! -

Summary
“I haven’t felt safe with a man in so long,” she breathed, eyes looking down at where her hands were fidgeting with his fingers. “I feel safe with you. And I’m… nervous to mess it up. I’m scared I’m going to mess us up.”
He pressed his lips gently to forehead and she sighed, the tension escaping her at the tender gesture of affection. The affection that she found so rare from others, yet an affection that seemed to come so easily to him in regards to her.
“Nothing you do could ever mess us up.”
“But what if-“
“Shh,” his lips find hers, the kiss so soft and tender, nothing like the sloppy, wet and rushed kisses they shared only moments ago. “I mean it. Nothing. Okay?”

Summary
Norma doesn’t think about him much these days, there’s really nothing to think about; Sam Bates is dead and gone, and he can’t physically hurt her ever again. Most of those painful memories are tucked away safely in the back of her mind, shoved into a tiny box and locked shut, newer and happier memories taking their place. And although there are flashes of those memories here and there, they are few and far between; Alex’s love and kindness towards her healing her mental wounds and caressing her psychological scars with a gentleness she had never experienced before.
She is different now, happy now.

Summary
She wants to say so much, to tell him how safe he makes her feel, how much she adores him, how grateful she is for him and everything he’s ever done, but no such words will leave her lips. Norma gives up on trying to speak and instead lets her head fall against his chest, her breath warm.
A little loving Normero smut ;)

Summary
That question had a sudden image of another lonely person popping into her head, and she ran to the window to see if Alex had returned from his shift. He had. His police cruiser was parked, windows slightly frosted over, so he must’ve been back for a while. Norma was torn. She hated to spend her favorite day alone, and hated the idea of someone else, someone she considered a friend, spending it alone as well. On the other hand, he rejected her offer to come up for dinner, so perhaps he just wanted to be left by himself.

Summary
For two years, Joel Miller has done nothing but scowl at you from across the room, barely tolerating your warmth, your kindness, your ever-present sunshine. For two years, you’ve told yourself his gruffness doesn’t bother you—that his clipped words and cold stares don’t matter.
But then, out of nowhere, he offers to fix the damaged floor in your flower shop.
For free.
Suddenly, the man who could barely stand to look at you is showing up every day, fixing things that don’t need fixing, sharing quiet lunches, and—most shocking of all—getting along with Ellie, your daughter, who has never warmed up to anyone as quickly as she has to him.
