Summary
Time passed as if one minute was one hour, the tears in his eyes fell down the sides of his face as he lowered his arm, it felt too tiring to keep reaching for something, something he couldn’t reach, something he didn’t even know what he was reaching. The bear he wished he could accept in his arms continued poking him, he felt as if it was clawing his body, trying to crawl and hoard as much space as it could. His arms let go of the thing, letting it cling onto him by itself. It felt nice to let go of it, but it didn’t feel nice on his body as if it kept trying to dig a hole in his already poked and ruined self. It acted like chains — heavy, tight, chains.
In the lone room, the bear watched him intently as his feeling of desperation became apparent in his face. He held the bear closer to his chest, contemplating if he should let it nestle and create a home in his heart that he once pathetically and stubbornly refused to give a place to.

It clanked against a small pouch of sugar star candies, the pouch had no seal or ribbon to resist its candies from falling and dropping onto one of the larger cracks that once sealed its glass barrier, fracturing it until the candies entered the jar in a new.. unethical way.
Sugar clung to the inner walls of the jar with ease and want, its touch tinting the once clear glass and filling it with a new sudden purpose it always craved. The jar shone with a new worth and light that it lacked, shining bright in the dark abyss to it once held nothing of use to. The inner walls of the glass jar hug the candies back with as much force as they can, trapping them within its barriers as though they cannot reach the top and escape themselves.
“Tsukasa, I'm home.” His words echoed through the deserted apartment, footsteps soon filled the vacuous apartment with eagerness and speed. “Rui!” Yelled a voice with so much love that even Rui couldn't comprehend it.

He would've been fast asleep already, well, if it weren't for a certain someone making loud noises from a machine that he could've worked on tomorrow morning. He could barely see the outside from the small window that was placed directly in front of him, it only served to irritate him more as he continued to sulk about the noise.
“There, there, dearest.. I'll be done in a few minutes, okay?” He muttered without even a slight turn of his head. A growl responded to him instead of his usual rant, that made him turn his head. He could see the anger through his eyes, his irises serving as a replacement for the words he wouldn't speak. A sigh left his mouth as the tools he used were placed down on his wooden desk, the chair he had been sitting on creaking loudly as it shifted.
“I don't need you to lull me to sleep.” The king grumbled, only making his worries turn into awe as he found his puffed-up cheeks adorable. “I know, but you'd prefer it if I do, don't you?” — “No, I don't! As if I'll prefer a traitor over being alone!”
