When Sara looks up, the Shogun, with her mouth full, is staring at her curiously. The god returns the remaining half of the Sakura Mochi to her plate, chewing carefully and swallowing before she places her chopsticks onto the table. “You have finished?”
Sara nods. "Yes. For breakfast, I typically eat five mouthfuls." Obviously, the Shogun hasn’t finished eating, but Sara would sit with her until she did. Sara sips at her tea, enjoying the savory taste combined with its subtle sweetness. Relaxing at breakfast is a new experience, though it’s one that she could see herself indulging in occasionally.

Sara turns to face the Narukami once again, looks, yes, but sees, perhaps for the first time, the way her eyes crinkle, the shadows that nestle deep beneath her high cheekbones. She sees them move as the other speaks, as oil on water.
“And what do you think of that? Of me?”
“I—” she chokes, words failing her when she needs them the most — standing upon a realization as she is, on the prow of a ship far out at sea, having come across the detritus of another, all but lost to time.
It is easy to recognize their likeness, weathered away by five hundred years of storm and salt, until only the differences remain. Skeletal, fundamental as they are, “You have no God to turn to.”
“That I don’t.” An easy smile that pulls the shadows deeper still, an otherworldly creature that both haunts and awes.
Sara cannot peel her eyes away.

Widowmaker was faceless to Sombra for the longest time, nameless like every other Talon soldier she had ever had the displeasure of meeting. The blue of her skin and her pretty face made her only marginally more interesting, not enough to make her anything but a project Sombra could busy herself with when she got bored of her assignments. Another code to decrypt, a mystery to solve.
But it's easy to stumble when you're tiptoeing around a gaping abyss of a woman. It's easy to let your eyes linger where they don't belong. It's easy to find yourself falling, and when the time comes, the rush may well make you forget that you are going to hit the ground.
