Summary
Leia Organa is stuck in a time loop, repeating the day of her interrogation on board the Death Star. As she keeps defying Darth Vader, he keeps killing her. Yet every time after dying, she wakes up on the same morning again. How did she get stuck like this? How could she possibly convince Vader to spare her life and maybe even let her go? Well, apparently now she has all the time in the galaxy to figure it out.
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to her, a certain farm boy is going through a similar experience. All Luke Skywalker wanted to do was get some power converters from Tosche station. Yet he has to chase after droids, rescue his family from Stormtroopers and listen over and over again to an old Jedi shamelessly lying to his face about his birth father. There's only so many iterations of this pointlessly repeating day a young man can take before he'll do something crazy.

Summary
Yassen had not been anywhere near Athens for almost two years, but even so, news of Ioannes’ death had eventually filtered through from his many contacts in the city. The man had been well known, and well respected after all. Well-connected, certainly. It had been news then, when he’d been found murdered in his own home.
And so, in a tavern in Naxos, Yassen had had a single, silent drink in the man’s honour and thought nothing else of it. It hadn’t even occurred to him to think of the beautiful blonde woman he’d seen so many years ago, and the bump beneath her dress that had been visible even from a distance. The idea of a child hadn’t entered his mind.
Right up until he catches said child – a young man now – standing over the body of a man Yassen had already suspected of being in the pay of Scorpia.

Summary
Alex Rider is a variation on the average teenager. He worries about his A-Levels, about his friends, and whether or not he'll pass his next exam.
The way his uncle guards his seemingly inane work, the boring ledgers and random documents in his office, the secrecy to his every task, could be a variation on the average office worker, could be a result of his preference for privacy.
The man Alex keeps spotting in the corner of his eye, off the reflection of shop windows and freshly waxed cars, has no rational explanation.
