He drinks to it. Luke says, steadily, “He was my father.”
Han snorts a laugh into his drink. It’s only as he raises his eyes, smirking, to Luke’s face and sees the look on it that his laughter dies away.
The look on Luke’s face is calm. Steady. Stony, almost. He says, slowly, “You’re not kidding.”
“No,” says Luke.
He thinks, I’m too drunk for this.

It’s what Alex would have done, had he worked for a decade and a half in the lucrative world of assassination, and been unable to make friends due to his inability to share his feelings without the threat of imminent death to bring them out.
