Still, no matter what oddities went on in Kakashi's head, one thing is certain – the boy will always love his father, through thick and thin.

Kakashi pauses, sorting through his mind for all the jutsu he remembers. He might not have the sharingan anymore, but he spent years learning over a thousand jutsu. It can’t have been in vain, it - ah. That one.
Kakashi faces Obito, who still thinks he’s dying, to reply. “Well, actually.”

Obito woke up to the press of weight over him.
He blinked blearily upwards, eyes sticky and mind disoriented from sleep as he tried to understand what was happening.
When he finally processed the fact that there was someone hovering over him, someone who must have broken into his home, he jolted fully awake, nearly throwing himself off of the bed before he realized exactly who the intruder was.
"Wha— Kakashi?"
Or, Kakashi time travels back to his genin days. Obito is appropriately confused.

Summary
His alertness is a sudden thing, a quick snap from sleeping to full consciousness. He draws an ever-present kunai from his belt, moves smoothly to a crouch.
“Katon no jutsu!” He hears, yelled with reckless abandon. He waits for the flash of flame of the technique, but none comes.
Kakashi shifts forward on his perch, allowing him a clear view of the river. There’s a boy stood next to it, on the opposite side from Kakashi. He’s maybe a couple of years older than Kakashi, dressed in navy and… orange?
“Katon no jutsu!” He says again, and this time Kakashi can see why there was no flame; as the boy all but shouts the words, he forms his hands into the sloppiest attempt at a tiger seal Kakashi has ever seen.
Kakashi can’t help his snort at the rather pathetic attempt, and the other boy whirls to him in the worst display of coordination Kakashi has ever seen, turning so fast that he ends up nearly falling over into the water. The movement lacks any of the grace characteristic of a shinobi, flailing and full of wasted motion. Kakashi’s pretty sure he’s seen two-year-olds move with more grace.

“Kakashi,” Minato-sensei strains, expression caught between disappointment and how-did-you-even-do-that.
“What?” Kakashi asks, innocent. “I’m just training.” He’s sure Obito would be protesting that claim if Obito could move enough to. Fortunately, Obito can’t. “Obito’s helping me.”
Minato-sensei looks terribly doubtful of that, shifting his gaze between Kakashi and Obito. To make up for the fact Obito is currently a puddle on the ground, completely unable to move, Kakashi shifts to make himself look as innocent as possible. “Right,” Minato-sensei stretches out the word, “Make sure that”—he casts another disturbed glance at Obito—“whatever you did to him reverses without any side effects.”
“Of course, Minato-sensei. I wouldn’t leave one of my teammates compromised.”

Slight correction to his earlier statment; There was a small, unfamiliar Hatake child laying in Tobirama's bed.
Or, 6 year old Kakashi gets zapped back to the warring states. Tobirama picks him up by the scruff and immediatley invokes finders keepers rules

Obito makes a sound of frustration from where he’s talking to Rin instead of packing up. Lazy bastard. “Having crushes is the worst!” he declares, high and petulant. Kakashi stands, kunai sufficiently packed. “I hate always acting so stupid around them.”
Kakashi pauses. Turns to look at Obito, because the idea of Obito only acting stupid around one person is laughable; Obito is always acting stupid. “I don’t see how that’s any different from normal for you,” he cuts in, though he didn’t mean to.
