    Will Byers has ordered strawberry at Scoops Ahoy for two years.

    It's not his favourite. His favourite is caramel, but Mike Wheeler said he'd remember strawberry, so Will never orders anything else.

    Mike remembers everyone's order. That's his thing, but Will's makes his heart do something stupid every time.

    What Mike doesn't know, Will's favourite is caramel.

    What Will doesn't know, Mike's favourite is caramel too.

    What neither knows, Max is done watching them circle each other.

    Then the Russians come. Truth serum happens. And when Mike's locked in a bathroom with Max, every buried secret claws its way out.

    He looked at the charcoal smudge again. It was so distinctly Will. It was like finding a fingerprint at a crime scene, only the crime was Mike’s rapidly disintegrating sanity.

    He should close the tab. He should absolutely, one hundred percent close the tab, clear his browser history, burn the laptop, and maybe move to a monastery in Tibet where the wifi was spotty. He should walk into Will’s room right now and say... what?

    Hey man, sorry to wake you, but are you spreading your cheeks to pay for our electricity bill? Because if so, thanks, but also, what the fuck?

    In which, Mike Wheeler thinks he knows everything about his roommate and childhood best friend, Will. He knows Will likes his coffee black, hates the texture of anything remotely slimy, and is surprisingly good at keeping secrets. But when Mike stumbles upon a cam model named 'Lee' who films in a room that looks suspiciously familiar, he realizes he doesn't know Will nearly as well as he thought. And God, does he want to learn.

    It may have taken Mike Wheeler a little while to figure it out, but there was no denying that he was pathetically in love with Will Byers

    Emphasis on "pathetically"

    When Will smiles, Mike smiles back; When Will speaks, Mike bursts into flames; When Will flexes, Mike melts into a puddle of goo

    Tired of watching Mike make a mess out of himself, the rest of the Party decide to help him out

    (If only they could tell if Will likes him back or not!)

Hockey and aggression mixes well, but feelings? Those don’t fit in anywhere. Those make things complicated. Especially when your feelings are for your hate-fuck buddy.

    Mike hates Valentine’s Day. It was fun as kids, when teachers would make every student decorate a little shoe box with pink and red heart stickers, that by the end of the day would be filled with cheesy Valentines and sweets.

    But this isn’t kindergarten anymore— there are no school-enforced rules that his classmates have to give him a Valentine. He has to earn them. And he hasn’t.

    Mike is (not) upset that he’s the only one of his friends that hasn’t received a Valentine. That is, until something just so happens to fall out of his locker the next day.
