Rhodin had never looked at him like that, the way he looked at anyone at court, the way he sometimes looked at Conju when Conju wasn’t looking. Ludvic had contented himself with that lack. It would be complicated, after all. He did not at all need it the way it seemed like others did. He never asked - that was not the shape of their relationship.
