But the slaughtered cultivators weren’t the only problem; the sabre had been carried all over the cultivation world by now, and brought devastation everywhere it went. Every crop failed to reach harvest within twenty miles of the weapon, drought followed it like a shadow, and there had been several cases of spontaneous madness in its vicinity, though it wasn’t yet clear whether they were linked or mere coincidence.
‘Zhanmadao…’ Feng Xin whispered aloud. He could picture the sabre so vividly in his mind despite not having seen it for over eight hundred years. He was certain it was the same weapon.
Mu Qing died 800 years ago. Now, his beloved Zhanmadao shows up again out of nowhere, causing death and destruction to all who dare to touch it.

Summary
The next few days were filled with Lance informing everyone, multiple times, of their “new” friendship. “We’re friends now, did you hear? Keith and I are friends.” Over and over, big smile, loud voice. Looking between Keith and whoever he was telling like he expected a round of applause. Or confetti. Or a parade. What he usually got was somebody making a crack about bonding moments, which prompted a tight, put-upon sigh on Keith’s end. And Lance would look at him fondly, and Keith would have to bite his cheek to distract himself from how much he wanted Lance to lean over and kiss him.
