Summary
Harry Potter was supposed to be the savior; the 'Chosen One' to free them all from misery. When he triumphed over Voldemort, it was supposed to be over.
The misery had only just begun.
The orbit of the moon had been thrown off its course, and over the span of twelve months, Harry Potter had to watch as the world burned and flooded while the moon loomed ever closer. It would be one year until it reached the atmosphere--one year until everyone died.

Summary
The last thing Steve thought he'd be doing two and a half years after blowing up the Abyss and Upside Down was sitting down on the couch of his living room in the house he shared with his long-term partner, Jonathan Byers, listening to Michael-fucking-Wheeler go into a bisexual crisis. He also wasn't prepared for Michael-fucking-Wheeler to come to Steve and Jonathan as if they were the gay experts (and Steve had a feeling that Nancy-fucking-Wheeler, the traitor, may have played a part in that).
Jonathan wanted to turn the little shit away and say that whatever he was hinting about their relationship was way off base.
But Steve saw himself--clueless and scared and head-over-heels in love with another man. Steve had no one there to talk him through how to go about falling in love, confessing said love, and then keeping a happy relationship when there wasn't anyone to go to for advice about the relationship. The poor kid was even more lost than Steve had been, and his biggest weakness had been exploited: one of his honorary children needed parental guidance that they couldn't get from his actual parents.
God, Steve was going soft.

Immediately upon recognising Will, Mike drops to one knee with a tremendous force and bows his head down, low. After a few seconds he lifts his head slowly, eyes looking directly into Will’s.
“William,” he says. “The Wise.”
