What I imagine to be one of several missing scenes from this week’s ep Purity. I may add a second part because I’ve been toying with the idea of the different stages of trauma and how EO would process them together. I think physical intimacy would play a role too, but it didn't feel right in this moment.

She knew Elliot would hear the true horror of the moment in her voice when she called, ostensibly to ask for OC's help in their unfolding human trafficking case, but truly because she just wanted to hear his voice amidst the multiple disasters surrounding her. She wasn't sure what he would do after he listened to her message, but she was less than surprised when he met her outside the ER doors.
His presence turns out to be fortuitous as she navigates her own injuries, ignored in light of what had happened to Bruno...but can she finally let go and let him take care of her?
