Not even a minute later, Sam’s eyes shot open and he jerked up to look around the room again. Pain relentlessly throbbed through his skull, nearly distracting him from his duties. Hearing scuttling from behind him, he turned around to see a spider trying to climb to the ceiling. Recovering his sword from his hotbar, he swung it down on the spider only to wince when he heard it make contact with the wall. Briefly stunned, when he refocused, he noticed nothing was there in the first place. There was no trace of the spider around, nothing to indicate that it was ever even there.
