Summary
This is my take on how Andrew’s and Neil’s relationship develops after the end of TKM.
I tried my best to keep it canon-compliant, or at least compliant to how I see the characters.
The only important change to the books is that in my version, Andrew never took off his armbands in the presence of others after he left Easthaven. The shower scene with Neil still happened, Andrew just kept his armbands on.trigger warnings for everything that’s already canon but I should point out that self harm is a big topic in this, bigger than it was in the books. So please stay safe and don’t read this if it could trigger you <3

“Is this the part where you fuck me?” Laurent said, voice terribly even, sounding almost bored. But Damen knew better by now. He could tell by his tense stance, the way he had his hands interlaced behind his straight back, his shoulders squared, that Laurent was nervous.
Laurent decides he wants to have sex, kinda skipping several steps in his and Damen's relationship. It's totally not cause he's trying to prove to himself that he's fine, that he doesn't need therapy, that he doesn't have any issues at all.
This is my version of how their first time could have been if Damen had known about Laurent's past in advance.

I'll try not to let every ace/aro character have severe trauma but ngl, it's gonna be hard for me cause that's my background and I love projecting parts of my trauma onto my characters :DIt'll most likely be different ships, but there won't be any/much background knowledge required from the source material to understand the fic, I hope.
