Summary
So here’s what happened in 6th year: After the episode in the ministry in their 5th year, Lucius and the other death eaters present made their escape and were never imprisoned.
Draco wasn’t up to something. But his father was. He was the one to break in to the school and the one who killed Dumbledore in the Astronomy Tower. He did not bring any death eaters, and hence no students or professors were harmed.
Seeing as the last Horcrux was destroyed by Dumbledore and Harry no Horcrux hunt during 7th year was necessary and all students attend school as planned.Harry is dating Ginny but she is acting increasingly strange. At the same time Harry befriends Draco Malfoy, much to Ginny's annoyance and his own surprise.
Lots of drinking games and randy teenagers.

Ginny, Luna and Neville are riding a very thin line between illegal behavior and VERY illegal behavior, but in all fairness, they were given a secret magical greenhouse.
Everybody in the castle's secrets are spilling out of their own mouths, and nobody can stop it. When confronted with the matter, Dumbledore is exactly as helpful as he usually is, which is to say he gives cryptic advice and 'wisdom words' that confuse the shit out of everyone.
Not only are the students plagued with truths, but the castle holds a dark secret. A magician has sneaked his way into Hogwarts, and is reigning people in for his army of (???)

Summary
It hadn’t started on purpose. Remus was adamant on that point, but somewhere along the line he sunk deep into the habit and couldn’t let it go. Sirius Black wasn’t like anyone Remus knew, and to say he knew the boy was a far reach. They weren’t friends, let alone acquaintances, but Sirius made sure everyone at Hogwarts knew who he was, and Remus followed his trajectory involuntarily.
(Or: Sirius Black is a nosy git and Remus Lupin is the unluckiest wizard in the world)

He saw a boy coming down the apartment stairwell lugging an over-packed, black suitcase lazily behind him with one hand. In his other hand, the boy was holding a cup of KB coffee with drips of brown down the sides. He couldn’t make out the boy’s face from that far away, but going by his body language, Even could tell he was exhausted.
