She stood out in the dimly lit bar, her yellow halter top seemed too bright, capturing the eye. A tattoo of a ladybug stood out against a couple of scars that littered her shoulders, resting on top of one as if it was the stem of a flower or a blade of grass.
She glanced over, locking eyes with him with a small smile, taking a sip of her drink before glancing away, idly rotating the glass in her hand, saying something to the bartender, getting a laugh from him .
He pushed off from where he'd been sitting, moving to sit next to her. She spoke up before he could even open his mouth.
"Took you long enough."

Even after all those years, she wasn’t able to stay on her feet too long, wasn’t able to use her lungs in their full capacity. The dagger that passed her chest and pierced even her lungs had made sure of it. Thankfully, the blade had missed her heart, even if only barely, because had that happened, she would have had much less chance of survival. Her chances would have gone from slim to none.
There had not been a sight of the responsible one after that. Not a single one. No one else knew who it had been, no one but Marinette. She knew and knowing hurt because she had trusted that person with her life.
She still carried the bitter grudge from that day within her heart.

When his training takes him to France however, Jason learns about the newest supervillian on the streets. Correction: The newest supervillain and superheroes. Seeing an untrained tiny thing flying around the city in red and black was a bit more triggering than he had expected. One dead Robin was more than enough for Jason and he is definately not going to let this little bundle of sunshine and rainbows end the same way he did.
