Summary
Eighth Prince of Han and an alpha to boot, Xu Minghao is nothing but expendable. But that changes swiftly when he finds himself engaged to the only Prince of Tang, the beguiling omega Wen Junhui, and crowned Tang Emperor. Minghao is supposed to follow Han instruction and prepare Tang to become a vassal state, yet each day he grows more disillusioned with the homeland that sees him only as a pawn in their games.
In public, First Prince Wen Junhui is the perfect omega. In private, he's the most skilled politician Tang has seen in centuries. Though his omega status relegates him to working in the shadows, the court is still putty in his hands, and he will allow no alpha to interfere with his maneuvering—especially not one that wants to hand his country to Han topped with a pretty little bow.
But what happens when this sham marriage, by unbelievable chance, forces the two onto the same path? Slowly, new loyalties are formed, hearts begin to waver, and something uncontrollable starts to blossom. It's unexplored territory, dark and terrifying...
Yet in the end, the blackest waters are where the most beautiful lotuses bloom.

But as his twenty-eighth birthday approaches and nearly all of his closest friends are in serious relationships, he is faced with the stark truth: he might just be alone forever.

When he wakes the next morning with little recollection of the previous night, he brushes it off and goes back to life as usual. That is, until he misses both his heat and his period, and three pregnancy tests come back positive.
Things only get more complicated when his best friend, Minghao, returns from his studies abroad to find Junhui an absolute wreck and eight weeks pregnant. With Minghao’s support, Junhui must figure out who the father of his child is, come clean, decide whether or not to keep it….

Summary
It appears that even a fairytale wedding like theirs cannot solve a fundamental lack of love. One must wonder why Prince Wen insisted on trapping Prince Xu in this marriage—a broken engagement would have done no harm to the now strong relations between Zhuque and Xuanwu.
If anyone’s trapped in this marriage, it’s Junhui. Minghao’s the one who’s too selfish to let him go.
Heavy is the head that wears the crown. Less so when you’ve got a shoulder to rest on.
Minghao and Junhui are breaking under the weight.

Summary
"And into the fire... of love."
Mingyu’s jaw dropped. He stared at Junhui, then back at the phone in his hand, then back at Junhui.
“You’re kidding.”
“I wish I was.” Seeming to sense that Mingyu was probably about to destroy his phone, Junhui gingerly reached for the device and pocketed it again. “Judging by your reaction, I’ll assume that you haven’t said anything off-camera that sounded like we were… together.”
Mingyu was about to argue, to accuse Junhui of slandering his character, when it hit him. If he hadn’t said anything… and Junhui hadn’t said anything….
“They’re delusional,” he chuckled breathlessly. “Looking for flames where there’s none.”
Relief coloured Junhui’s pretty face. Mingyu went on, grinning, “I mean, if they want sparks so bad, they could look into the burning contents of Jun-hyung’s wok.”

“It’s such beautiful skin, really. Turned into a specimen… what fine artwork, don’t you think?” Coquettish brown eyes flicked up to meet his. Minghao’s gut churned as he noticed—very much against his will—that they were fringed with the thickest dark lashes he’d ever seen. “Well, that’s what I’d say if I was the criminal. But I really didn’t do it, officer. You can’t frame an innocent person.”
Police detective Xu Minghao might have bitten off more than he can chew with the prime suspect in Shanghai's latest murder case.

Summary
“Yeah.” Wonwoo huffed, stretching his legs. He reached for the beer, deflating when he saw it was empty. Looking back at Jun, he opened his mouth to whine when it hit him like a truck. “Wait, Jun-ah.”
“Wonwoo-yah?” Jun tilted his head. His eyes were a little glazed over, huge and sparkling with interest. “What’s up?”
“You want a thing,” Wonwoo repeated urgently. The pleasant buzz of alcohol was starting to become all too loud in his ears, vision clouding. “I want a thing. What if we did the thing?”
Wonwoo and Jun are friends with benefits—emphasis on the friends part. That has nothing to do with the fact that Jun’s existence causes Wonwoo’s heart to melt with fondness, or that every time he pulls out he wants to kiss Jun right on the mouth and hold him close. Nothing at all.
