Summary
The air and the light and the atmosphere of the café cease to exist. In its place there’s the gentle spatter of rain over a roof, the humidity of spring, and the faint light of an oil lamp in the background. The taste of bitter coffee accompanied by baklava is still in his mouth.

Summary
The next time it happens, it's twenty five days later.
It's not like Alhaitham consciously decided that he was going to wait or anything, no. It’s because Kaveh had left for a project in the desert and Alhaitham had been roped into the whole “rescuing our archon” shenanigans.

You see, it's not that he dislikes them or anything, it's mostly the fact that the only thing they seem to be good at is throw barbs and thinly veiled insults at each other. And that tires Childe.
He's more of a straightforward person, if he wants to insult someone, he goes ahead and does it, no need to decorate his words.

Summary
It was always a breath of fresh air when Wriothesley was called up to the surface. And it seemed like he was being called up by the Chief Justice more and more these days.
At first, it was your typical parlay between dignitaries. Wriothesley had officially taken his post with little to no fanfare, but plenty of eyes were still upon him for a fair few good reasons.
Yet a very specific set of eyes were taking in each of their many meetings into account when settling firmly on an opinion of Wriothesley; a personal opinion as well as a professional one. The Duke had fallen under the gaze of the Chief Justice, who seemed intent on taking as long as necessary to thoroughly make a judgment of his present character.

Summary
Neuvillette knows little of what it means to be a dragon; he has spent his entire life among the people of Fontaine. Everything he does know about dragons, he has uncovered himself through trial and error and the occasional bit of obscure research. But this, at least, he recognizes.
Mating instincts.
By protecting him, the duke is behaving like a dragon seeking a mate, and that has triggered Neuvillette’s own instincts to judge the duke’s adequacy.
When Wriothesley begins acting like a dragon courting his mate, Neuvillette finds himself torn between duty and desire.
