Dean let out a slow breath as Cas dropped onto the bed beside him. Something twisted in his chest, something he couldn't name, and it only dug deeper the longer he let it settle. He kept his gaze towards the ceiling, pretending to be fixed on anything other than the man next to him. But his eyes drifted anyway, tracing the slope of Cas's shoulders, the way his trench coat flowed like it belonged there. Like it were too close. And Dean hated that he didn't know why that bothered him so much.
