She gave Claudia a little shake. “You’re crazy,” Claudia said, a tear escaping. “Fuckin’ crazy, and now I’m stuck with you.”
“Yes,” Madeleine hissed, triumphant. “Yes, you’re stuck with me now! And you don’t like this dress, and you will tell me what is wrong with it, and I will make you a hundred more. And I will tell you your plays are bad and your French is ugly, but I will tell you the truth. When I tell you something Claudia, it is the truth.”
