“I’m here,” he murmurs. “You can talk to me, or not, but I am here. And I’m not going anywhere.”
Buck bites his lip until it bleeds.

“Oh my God,” Eddie says, folding over in a fit of laughter. “Is this– is this your football jersey from college?” He doubles over in laughter again, the jersey hanging precariously from his fingertips.
“Yes,” Buck hisses as he snatches the jersey out of Eddie’s hands, his cheeks burning crimson.
“C’mon, you have to try it on for me, sweetheart,” Eddie replies after catching his breath. His hands sit on his hips, and Buck has to blink his eyes back into focus—away from the thoughts of the bite marks hidden underneath Eddie’s waistband from the night before. “Gimme a twirl,” Eddie adds as Buck looks at him blankly.
Or, Buck has some memorabilia, and Eddie discovers a new kink.

Warmth permeates the thin undershirt he threw on after his shower. Eddie.

The new house is too clean. Too quiet. Buck drops his keys on the counter just to hear them hit something, but the sound dies too fast. It’s not like the Diaz house, where there was always noise, laughter, life. He’s getting good at pretending it doesn’t ache, but after Chris and Eddie boomeranged back from Texas something was knocked out of place within him on the rebound.
He didn't duck in time.
