Summary
Soleum had been wondering for a while if the world was truly better with an overbearing alpha like Agent Choi.
His senior had no regard for personal space, nor a concept of privacy—too often did he return from a lunch break and find Agent Choi snooping through his phone, or getting his grubby fingers over all of the things in his desk drawer. When Soleum had brought it up to Agent Bronze in a polite and indirect way of complaining about their senior’s behaviour, Agent Bronze had just blushed bashfully and released a mix of pheromones reminiscent of sun-dried laundry.
Soleum had quickly learnt to not bring up Agent Choi’s… everything in the presence of his fellow beta, for fear of being exposed to whatever that was again.

Although I never read those types of novels myself, I was certainly familiar with the concept of a game-type system ruling over a character, or even an entire world; whole realities bending to the whim of some unseeable entity… From the outside, it was a cool trope.
I just never thought I'd be the victim of one.
