Summary
“And that’s why,” Violet says, slowly sinking her fingers into his hair, fisting it in her grasp, commiting the adoring, awestruck look on Evan’s face as he gazes up at her to memory, “onions make you cry.” His answering smile comes quick and bright, so dazzling that it sends a zing of lust right to her core. Admittedly, she’s been flexing and showing off since he’d told her he finds her chemistry know-how extremely attractive outside of Med last shift. It’s not that she’s exploiting this little tidbit of information, necessarily, but trading slow, deep kisses with Evan, writhing in his lap while talking about chemical processes is a kink she never knew existed for her until now. Exploring this with him is going to make for a long, fun night.
No one has ever told her that her mind was sexy before.
No one except Evan Hawkins.
Missing scenes from 10x16 and 10x17.

Summary
She watches him sleep for a moment, taking in his familiar profile and counting the freckles on his face. It’s still foreign to her—this giddy feeling of pure happiness—that swells inside whenever they’re together. And even when they’re not, it sneaks up on her sometimes, humming under her skin, reminding her how grateful she is to have him in her life. Ugh, she’s cheesy now. Sappy. But if that’s the tradeoff required to have Evan Hawkins, she’ll make it. Every single time.

Summary
“You sure go from trying to ghost me in my bedroom to snooping and shirt stealing in a quick hurry, huh?” Evan teases.
Violet startles with a squeak, whirling around to face him. He’s leaning in the doorway of the kitchen in his boxers with his arms crossed over his bare chest, looking wholly amused while smirking at her with a dimple flashing in his cheek. “Jesus—you scared me!” she admonishes, nearly dropping the bowl in her hand.
“Sorry," he chuckles, closing the gap between them and taking the bowl from her. "Didn't mean to scare you. I went looking for my shirt and the trail led me here."

Summary
“Never have I ever stolen anything,” Violet tilts a soft smile at Evan as she gazes at him from her end of the couch. She picks at the corner of the label on her beer bottle with a thumbnail and waits to see if he drinks, thereby admitting his guilt, or not.
They play this game sometimes. Not ad nauseam, but a few rounds here and there while they’re hanging out and drinks are involved, or whichever board or card game they’ve been playing gets old (or in reality she gets too competitive and Evan gently changes course to avoid a dumb and needless fight).
And sometimes they play even when they aren’t together. She’d called him the other night while on shift after a bad call left her shaken, and she needed to hear his voice to help restore her equilibrium. Instead of rehashing the situation with him, she’d gotten comfortable in the front seat of the rig with her knees tucked up on the dash and said, “Never have I ever gotten into a fist fight,” as soon as Evan had picked up. It was late, and the sound of his warm, sleepy laugh in her ear had smoothed away the roughest edges of her foul mood.

Summary
Tonight would definitely have been better spent with Evan. He wanted to hang out with her, and a big part of her wanted to accept his invitation. Lately, though, she’s kinda been worried that they’ve been spending too much of their time together and wholly ignoring their friends. So she suggested they do their own thing tonight while making plans for a date later in the week.
See? Who says you can’t balance a secret relationship and spend time with your friends? Not her, that’s for sure.

Summary
“Are you drunk?” Violet asks, incredulous. She loads the last plate into the dishwasher and closes the door harder than necessary before turning around to face him.
Evan scoffs, forcefully tossing the dish rag into the sink. He leans against the counter and folds his arms over his chest, eyes narrowing in confusion. “The hell kind of response is that to my question? I asked you to go with me to Sunday dinner and meet my mom, not move to Mexico and start a new life.”

Summary
Tonight is nothing at all like she’d expected.
Well, that’s not entirely true, Violet supposes. Some of the night’s events she’d predicted perfectly. Walking into a fancy shindig solo? Check. Making awkward small talk with a roomful of CFD brass? Check. Eating rubbery chicken and nursing well drinks because the aforementioned brass is cheap as hell? Check and check.
Evan Hawkins pressing her up against a floor-to-ceiling window and kissing the breath from her lungs, however? Error. 404 Not Found.

Summary
Being charmed by Sylvie Brett isn’t a new experience.
Matt’s pretty much been charmed by her in some capacity since the moment they met. Long before they were truly friends; years before they became a couple. Sylvie on Christmas Eve at her parents’ house, however, is a whole new level of charming he didn’t even know existed.
It’s a good thing, too, because she’d dropped a bomb on him as he pulled his truck into the driveway of her childhood home where they’d be spending the next three days for Christmas. My parents don’t know we’re living together. Then she’d instructed him to keep that to himself until she could tell them after the holidays, please and thanks. But before that could even become a thing, Sylvie had leaned across the cab, the apology written all over her angelic face, kissed the breath from his lungs, then followed up with a whispered promise to make it up to him later.

Summary
[One Shot] Matt's out for a typical night at Molly's at Severide's behest. He's grumpy, tired, and sick of his friends calling him an old man. Flirting with a gorgeous blonde wasn't on his agenda, but maybe this chance encounter is exactly what he's been missing.

Summary
Thirty seconds ago she was seeing red, ready to tear down everyone in her path. Then a stupid bag of frozen peas and a whiff of Matt Casey’s laundry detergent has her going weak in the knees.
Maybe she got hit in the head harder than she thought.

Summary
Ambo leaves the scene before they do, as they get another call. They report back to 51 half an hour later. Casey’s still on the apparatus floor when Ambo backs in fifteen minutes after that. He starts to approach. He’s not sure what he plans to say to Brett but the need to talk to her is strong. He’s a few steps away when Roman approaches from the open garage door. Sylvie’s face brightens but he sees a fair bit of awkwardness behind her eyes too.
Roman looks to be feeling it as well judging by the way he hems and haws.
Matt’s brow furrows and he decides, shamefully, not to announce his presence just yet.

Summary
She crooks her index finger under his chin, tipping his head up, waiting for him to meet her gaze head on. There’s warmth and love shining back at him that’s like a salve against the ache in his chest. “Don’t you get it by now? I could live a hundred lifetimes and fall in love with you in every single one of them.”
He’d meant it by a shimmering poolside in 1941 and he means it still: Lucy Preston saved his life.
And he loves her beyond measure.
“I do,” he whispers, and lays his lips over hers.

Summary
“You’re cleaning my clock, Preston!”
Lucy sidles up to his barstool all flirty smiles and confidence to stand in the space between his knees. “So it would seem, Logan,” she teases, eyes dancing impishly in the neon bar lights. She leans in and filches a quick kiss, then plucks the bottle from his fingertips to steal a sip of his beer. “I guess you’re a good teacher.”
“Hmm.” Wyatt smirks and splays a hand over the curve of her hip, his thumb teasing the pocket of her jeans. He doesn’t miss the way she subtly leans into his touch or the warmth of her skin radiating through the denim. “Could be that,” he says mildly. Lucy shoots him a questioning look. “Or maybe I’m being hustled.”
***
Just a little one shot of Lucy and Wyatt, already in an established relationship, having a night off from saving the world.
