My eyes open slowly as he draws away. From the audience's perspective, we shared our first matrimonial kiss. However, with a clever tilt of his head, his lips barely brushed the corner of my lips in a chaste concession.
We had discussions regarding this arrangement.
I let out my breath slowly. So far he's keeping to it. I wonder how long that will last.

The Dragon King catches onto my hesitation and pours more honey-coated words into my ears. He coos, “You’re such a brave girl going through such hardships for a couple of cash. I will take care of you, feed you, bathe you, and give you the life of my Queen. I shall bestow upon you the honor of my name. It is Sylus, your King Sylus.” His forked tongue licks my jaw and I shudder.
My defenses start to melt down as his deal appears to get sweeter. I’ve been hustling alone all my life, and now an esteemed hot Dragon King who is triple my size wants to care for me even though I've come to ruin him.
Give me one good reason to say no.

When bandits threaten your village the town is forced to turn to the dragon living in the mountain for help. The best tribute to send a dragon has always been a beautiful maiden. Your name was the unlucky one chosen to climb the mountain and beseech the dragon for help in return for your life. Unbeknownst to you or anyone in the village, the rumored dragon is not what you were expecting. He's a man...partly. And he has no interest in eating you. If you remain in the mountain with him he'll protect your village. You agree.
During your stay you embark on a journey as you get to know your new draconic master. He was not what you expected in so many ways and you find yourself facing forbidden desires and unforeseen bonds. He says that dragons do not love, but perhaps he is more human than he wants to be.

"It's about what you need right now." He dips his head in a kiss, almost chaste in its gentleness, followed by a sharp nip to your lip that has you keening. "And what you need," —he kisses your brow bone— "you can only get from me."
