Jax felt tears prick at his eyes as he swallowed. He nodded, cautiously placing a hand on the back of her head. She bristled at the touch, but followed his lead and leaned towards him.
He pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead. He wondered how few of those she had experienced thus far.
