Zuko’s head jerks up to see Azula on his doorstep, leaning against the doorframe while inspecting her nails in an obvious attempt to come off as unbothered. Or maybe she genuinely doesn’t care. Zuko can rarely tell.
He puts down his book and sits up on his bed, giving his sister his full attention, knowing very well that she won’t leave until she’s done taunting him.
”What do you mean?” he says, not really registering the words that have come out of Azula’s mouth until now. Azula is always taunting him about something. Usually it’s inconsequential, her dangling something over his head because she can, because she’s the favorite, because she’s perfect and Zuko’s not.
”I heard him talk about it with one of his advisors,” she says. ”Apparently emissary Liang is there negotiating the terms as we speak.”
”You’re lying,” he says, narrowing his good eye at her.

Summary
The Mating Dance. A formal event held yearly on the summer solstice, for well-to-do young alphas and omegas who've turned 21 since the previous solstice to come together and find their forever-mates.
John's family isn't exactly filthy rich, but they live very comfortably. He's been looking forward to this dance since he was in high school, daydreaming of a whirlwind romance and a happily-ever-after.
But for Dave, who doesn't even want a mate, it's the last thing he wants to do with his evening. His odd little family does okay, but attending the dance is an expenditure that Dave just isn't interested in.
And then, they meet on the dancefloor.

Summary
John was an unlucky kid who ended up dying in the 1980s. He is an Earthbound Spirit that is stuck ‘living’ on Earth where no one is able to see him. That is, until he meets Dave. Dave is an unlucky guy who is finishing out the last year of HighSchool in a new town with Bro. The old house sits empty, until the two brothers move in. Bro, being rarely home as he’s mainly either working at the Bar that hired him or sleeping at some chicks place, Dave has the place to himself.. and something seems.. off. John and Dave end up meeting and the two not only become friends, but Dave ends up actually falling in love with John. Deciding that he wants to be with John even in death, he plans just that. It’s after Dave’s death.. they’re transported to some kind of void where some kind of God actually gives them a second chance at being alive together. Now being reincarnated, both John and Dave are alive living in modern day. John remembers everything, yet, Dave doesn’t and has completely forgotten who John is and their mutual feelings. Can John make Dave fall for him a second time and will they actually be able to find love? living out the rest of their days finally in peace? Or will Dave reject John and break his heart all over again?
