When a confrontation with a powerful magic user goes awry, Damian is cursed, robbing him of his voice. Or, communicate without a fresh bruise appearing, that is.
What begins as an inconvenience quickly spirals into something far worse, as he finds himself struggling with the mounting realization: no one has noticed. As his silence deepens, so do the rifts with his family. He’s not helped by the many more sinister theories the people around him assume because of his new temperament.
One thing is certain: he really, really hates magic.

Summary
In which Dave Strider recreationally antagonizes certain trolls of his acquaintance--dealer's choice as to who--without quite realizing the extent to which his talent for being smugly infuriating makes him the biggest blackflirt to never put out, with delightfully smutty consequences. Basically, give me Dave falling ass backwards into his very own blackromcom and getting in over his head, suddenly finding himself trying to fend off pitch solicitations and ashen interventions left and right. Multiple trolls waxing black for him and getting competitive over it would be delightful, and Dave getting terrifyingly and pleasurably wrecked by at least one of his suitors is a must.
