Summary
"But nothing,” Steve says gently, bowing his head to kiss Billy’s stomach. “It’ll feel better, right? Like - more intense. That’s what you said."
"I know what I said,” Billy begins, and he’s breathless - actually fucking breathless. “I’ve changed my mind. Gotta come now, Steve.”
Hot breath tickles Billy’s skin. Steve’s laughing. “Baby. It’ll be worth it.”

Summary
This is good. It’s not enough, but it’s still good, and it’s still more than he thought he’d ever have. Harrington’s playing a game, and Billy’s quickly learning the rules. He wants to play.

Summary
He squeezes his eyes shut. Can see the pretty picture better that way. Can see the silky, pale skin of Harrington’s back and the dark sweep of his hair as he tosses a look over his shoulder and tells Billy, “Thought you were supposed to be good at this, California."

Summary
"I don't think you do. I think you wanna stay," Harrington tells him, simple as that. "I want you to stay."
Harrington's hand comes up to brush Billy's hair out of his face. It's an oddly tender gesture, and Billy gapes, staring at Harrington like he's just been handed a single-coloured Rubik's Cube. "What?"
"I want you to stay." Harrington presses in until their hips are meeting and there's no such thing as personal space. He reaches out, pries Billy's boots out of his grip until he can knock them to the floor. They land with a dull thud. "Stay," Steve says. Billy thinks it's supposed to be a question, but it sounds more like a statement.

Summary
Fists shoved deep into his pockets, Steve glimpses the front door and makes a beeline towards it, shoulder-bumping anybody in his way. There's nothing waiting for him when he gets home but an empty house and possibly more alcohol, and that's all he wants. He wants quiet, and he wants to be alone. From here, the door looks like a beacon of light sitting amid black, bottomless water, and he strides towards it, one hand withdrawing from his pocket to reach out towards refuge, and he's close, so close, when a strong grip snags him by the elbow and yanks him back, pulling him away from safety and bringing him to drown.

feel it all end by the end of the cigarette packet by krelboyne

Summary
Billy wraps his lips around the end of the cigarette, kissing up the damp from where it's been sitting on Steve's tongue, and Steve feels cheated. Feels a sudden, irrational rage towards an inanimate object that has the privilege of Billy's mouth; the privilege of occupying all of Hargrove's senses, possessing his taste and his smell and dwelling in his lungs.
It's a strange sort of jealousy, but Steve's already been there. Never thought he'd have something in common with a Marlboro, but here he is: sinking right into Billy, burning up, only to be exhaled. Coughed up out of his lungs and thrust out of his pretty throat. Expended and useless; just a way for Hargrove to pass some time.

Summary
"I wanna know." Steve's feeling brave, apparently. "I wanna know why you'd say that. You think you deserve to be treated like that? Like -" He cuts himself off, just so he can reach a hand out to cup Billy's jaw; can trace, very lightly, the bruise that sits on Billy's cheek with the pad of his thumb. "Like this?" He drops his hand before Billy can flinch away, because he thinks he will. Thinks there's a brilliant possibility. "That's bullshit, man."

Summary
There's a torch in his car somewhere, he knows that much, but he also knows that pointing a torch in Billy Hargrove's face will only encourage him to finish what he'd started back in November.
Steve brakes and Billy keeps walking. He shouts, 'Need a ride?', and feels every shade of pathetic when that earns him no response.
Keep driving, he thinks to himself. Fuck that guy, he thinks. If he wants to walk around in the middle of a storm, let him.
But Steve's brain and his body must have some sort of disconnect, or. Maybe there's a lag, or something, because, before he knows it, his seatbelt's off and the door's open and he's being baptised in rainwater. He's rushing towards Billy on quick feet and reaching out to grab his elbow. 'Hargrove.'

Summary
‘This is what you want, isn’t it, Steve? This is what you need after a long, hard day at work?’ He snickers, because it’s such a cliché and he knows it, but he knows that Steve loves it. Snickers, too, because it’s debatable whether sitting behind a desk all day is actually hard work, as opposed to just boring, mind-numbing work, but that argument doesn’t matter here.
Steve nods and looks fucking out of it. Looks like he’d nod his head to just about anything Billy asks him right now.

Summary
Billy never asks for anything. Doesn't hint for anything. Always gives to Steve, and. Steve's not complaining. Steve's grateful, but. It's not what he'd expected from Billy Hargrove, for starters. And, secondly, Steve wants - so badly - to touch Billy. To see Billy.
It only dawns on Steve, one morning, when Billy says, 'Be right back', and heads to the bathroom to change his shirt.
An idea clicks, and. Steve's not sure if he's on the right track, but. He can't understand why else Billy doesn't want to be touched. Doesn't want - for like, the first time ever - to be seen. Looked at. Why Billy has to leave the room, just to change his shirt.

Summary
Steve rocks his hips. Closes his eyes, and then. Opens them again. Because, he has Billy Hargrove looking pretty under him. Soaked in sunshine and all golden. Golden skin, golden curls. Eyes all blue and green like the ocean, or. How Steve imagines the ocean might look. Thinks he doesn’t even need to go see it for himself. Thinks he has a piece of it right here; spread open and warm and writhing beneath him. His own wave. A tidal wave. Beautiful and stormy.

Summary
He only came for this. For his - what's the word?
His resignation.
To step down from his fake platform, and to hand his crown over.
Had willingly walked into this party, just to be dethroned. Or.
Just because he felt like fighting.
He knew he could count on Billy Hargrove to give him that.

Summary
He doesn't talk to Steve Harrington very much. Doesn't, in fact, talk to many of the other kids in his class.
But. The thing is. He likes Steve. Everybody likes Steve.
Steve has a lot of friends. He always has things to talk about. He has nice clothes. Nice, tidy hair. Has parents that collect him from school in a nice, clean car.

Summary
It's a sight, honestly. And, Steve doesn't want to say it's an impressive sight, but. It sort of is. Billy makes it look cool, somehow. Makes shorts and roller skates look badass.
Maybe it's the sunglasses he's wearing, or the half-smoked cigarette tucked behind his ear.
'Hey, sailor,' Billy's by the counter already, pushing his shades up into his curls.

Summary
His cigarette tastes more and more stale with every second he stays in Billy's room unwelcome, so he figures his best bet is to just crush it out in the ashtray on the night-stand. If he can't taste it, he might be able to forget that Billy wants him gone.

Summary
He’s reclined in the back-seat, head tipped back to look at the drops that rush down the windows. Looks funnier like this, almost upside down, chin pointed to the ceiling. It’s loud, here. The rain rushing towards every window; hitting the roof of the car.
Hargrove is louder.

Summary
He falls down, in a heap. Joins Billy on this blanket of death that doesn’t belong to Spring.
Not even Hawkins’ Spring.
Looks like the crumpled flowers have found a new home in Harrington’s eyes. He’s watching Billy, and he looks sort of. Sad. Pathetic. Or.
Maybe that’s just Billy. The one with the red line that joins his nose to his mouth. The one with mashed up petals on the bottom of his boots and grass stains on his jeans.

Summary
'I’m afraid of being here and why we’re here, and I’m afraid of seeing you again, but just like before, I hide my fear with bad jokes and a level of smug confidence I could just kick myself for. We fall into our old roles. You try to put me in my place and I relentlessly resist.'
An IT (2017) work. Richie’s POV as he reflects on Eddie and their relationship. Set during their immediate reunion.
