“Someone’s feeling sentimental tonight,” Jean teased.
Armin rolled his eyes, steadying himself on his knees. “Says you. You’re literally the sappiest person I’ve ever met.”
If he weren’t so right about that, Jean would have protested. Instead, he just let his eyes skim over Armin’s form in front of him, taking in every little detail. His blond hair was disheveled, endearingly sticking out in all different directions, and his pale skin glistened with sweat, rolling down his chest and pooling at his stomach. The feeling he felt in his gut when he looked at Armin was unlike anything he had ever felt before.
“Yea,” he murmured. “You’re probably right.”

“I’m a little worried,” Jean finally speaks into the yawning silence.
Armin leans forward to stare at Jean’s profile, indulgently. He wants to ask why but it seems like a stupid question.
“About which part?” He settles on.
“All of it,” He breathes through a tired laugh. His smile falters and flutters open, then closed. Armin allows him the time. He would give him the whole two hours it would take to get to Paradis if that’s what he needed.
Jean’s lips twist into a frown, as if he’s bitten something awfully sour, “I’m worried for you, most of all, I think.”
While trying to adjust to life back on a Jeagerist controlled Paradis, four years after the rumbling, Jean and Armin are forced to confront the years that have led them back home.

Summary

Mikasa Ackerman is one of the most well-known and sought after Wokou pirates, with a reputation of apathetic brutality, unprecedented strength, and being one of the few woman captains. In addition to this, her crew has been dubbed the "family of misfits", so she has her fair share of bar fights and swashbuckling in the name of defending her crew.
One day, during a battle that should've been easy, she is knocked off the boat and sent flying into the raging waves, only to be saved by a mythical creature of legend, who is actually way more human than expected. He stutters and blushes in her presence, what's up with that? How will Mikasa ever navigate all of this?

Armin wasn’t so oblivious to the fact of how angry his body was with him – muscles cramping and eyelids fluttering while he sat there – begging him to just lay down in a bed and close his eyes, even if just for a little while. But he refused, not when each time he submitted to the darkness he had hazy visions that came in red and nightmares that brought him guilt waiting for him. He didn’t want to hear the voices in his head that weren’t his.
The sun would be rising in a few hours anyway, so really, it didn’t matter. No, he wouldn’t be able to sleep anytime soon.
