Jack Abbott’s seen war, blood, and sand — thought he left it all behind. He learned to live with it.
But the moment you walked into The Pitt, it’s like the desert starts breathing again.
Same eyes. Same fire. Same ghost he never buried right.Bookmarked by lanaiis

Summary
A brutal day shift under Dr. Robby. Packed waiting room, understaffed, trauma rolling in, everyone on edge.
You hold it together for twelve hours.
Then in a supply closet, trying to catch your breath, your body gives out on you.
Robby finds you mid-panic attack.
Instead of handling it gently, he snaps. Maybe not cruelly—but sharply, impatiently, clinically.
“I need doctors who can function under pressure.”
It hits harder than it should.
You finish the shift, go home, and request transfer to nights.

Summary
It was your first day of residency at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Centre. You knew working in trauma would be difficult, but you hadn’t expected it to be anything like this.
After finishing medical school, you planned to specialise in cardiology. You had been born with a bad heart, and the hospital had been your second home growing up, so you thought you had known what to expect when you finally became a doctor.
You had been so very wrong.
And to make matters worse, everything you thought you knew about yourself was completely thrown off course by the incredibly talented and even better looking Doctors working in the Pitt.
As the hours go by, the professional boundaries between you and your coworkers start to disappear. Casual touches and lingering glances last longer than they should, and you seem to find yourself falling for your much older attendings and coworker.
I couldn’t choose between writing a fic about Robby, Abbot or Whitaker so I thought, why not all three…?
