His tail’s still gripping onto Blade’s leg. “Besides, leaving you there would’ve done absolutely nothing for our mission.”
Or: Blade is struck by mara during a joint mission with the Astral Express Crew. When he comes to, he's in Dan Heng's room with the man himself, although Dan Heng looks...different from what Blade's used to. Talking and feelings ensue.

Summary
It is as hard to love as it is to be loved.
Nero wants to understand his father and to go back to when things were easy with Dante, but it's like the other two just don't feel the same. He's trying his best, honestly, but sometimes that just doesn't seem to count for much.
Dante wants everything to be normal. He wants his nephew to finally have the father figure he's always wanted, wants Vergil to just stay for once, and especially, for no one to find out that he's sleeping with his own twin. Is that really so much to ask?
And Vergil? Vergil finally has the only thing he's every truly wanted: Dante. Now he just has to find a way to finally achieve his life long goal—to protect that which he loves.

Summary
Rather than go to the trouble of erecting the Temen-ni-gru, Vergil decided to seek out an alternate means of power. The results of which were... not quite what he was expecting.
It seemed like over night Dante's life went from taking random jobs and maybe drinking a little more than he ought, to changing diapers and trying to figure out what the hell babies ate anyway. The first year of becoming parents is supposed to be hard, but for the first time in a long time, the twins are going to face a challenge side by side.
Or, a series of vignettes of Dante and Vergil raising Nero together and falling in love along the way.
