tyler joseph considered himself your average, run-of-the-mill college student. he enjoyed spending time with his brothers in sigma chi, basketball, and fucking nearly every night. he came from a well off family, and was attending ohio state on a basketball scholarship. completely normal. but when his acl gets torn the first practice of the season, his world gets flipped upside down.
surgery, then months of physical therapy. he hated it all.what he hated most, though, was his physical therapist, and how he made him feel.

“Come here,” Josh gets to his feet jerkily, a puppet strung along on strings as he moves closer. "Sit still."
Josh obeys. Of course he does. He has no other choice. The collar affixed around his neck makes sure of that.
The stranger stares down at him with kind brown eyes, a gentle hand reaching forwards, brushing against Josh's fur. He straightens up to face the shopkeeper with a nod.
"I'll take him."

Tyler is lonely and impulsively decides to wander into a magical animal shop to buy a cute dog to keep him company. Josh, a shifter stuck in his dog form and cursed by a Sorcerer to obey every command given to him, isn't as fond of the idea.

Tyler is forgetful sometimes. He didn’t mean to forget his heat suppressants. He did not expect his heat to trigger so soon.
Josh, his mate both in band and life, is in LA. Not only that, but Josh has commitments, so he’s stuck in LA.
Tyler is convinced he’s going to die if Josh doesn't come home.
